Dressing for the treatment of superficial burns.
Burns can be incredibly painful, but the pain is nothing compared to the risk of infection the now-damaged skin cells open up to. Burns should be gently washed in lukewarm (not cold) water for about 20 minutes. After patting the burn dry with a towel, they should generally be covered to fend off infection and to keep the wound clean. Superficial burns (burns located at or near the surface) can be covered with a burn dressing, with some dressings serving as a pain reliever as well.
Found in medical centers and in some first aid kits.
