The Cleaver is a bladed weapon featured in The Last Stand: Union City and The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

BackgroundEdit

A broad flat blade used to hack through tough meat and thin/soft bones, which it accomplishes through brute force, much like an axe. Ideal for all kinds of butchery, including the up-close-and-personal kind.

A common appliance found in most kitchens and butcher shops.

The Last Stand: Union CityEdit

An excellent melee weapon that deals very high amounts of damage for its weight, it's a good choice in the middle sections of the game until more powerful melee weapons like the Fire Axe or Katana are obtained.

The Last Stand: Dead ZoneEdit

Quite effective in the early to mid levels due to its decent damage and attacks speed, which lets it bring down zombies quickly and efficiently. Still, its wielder has to be right next to their target in order to attack it, which is likely to get them wounded.

How to ObtainEdit

It can be scavenged during Level 8+ missions.
Level 11 Refined variants can be crafted using a Cleaver and 6 Hardened Metal at a Level 5+ Weapons Bench for 6 after scavenging the required schematic.
