Research Component

The Decalcifying Liquid is a research component in The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

DescriptionEdit

A pungent liquid used to clean out items prone to calcification.

BackgroundEdit

Limescale buildup in plumbing can foul the water's course and corrode the pipes. Limescale is delivered to plumbing via calcified or "hard" water, which is rich in minerals. Calcified pipes and equipment must be regularly cleaned with the use of decalcifying liquids, usually containing one form of acid, with EDTA or citric acid being base components in these liquids. For domestic applications, lemon juice or vinegar is used as a cheap and safe decalcifying agent.

Found in residences, construction sites, and hardware stores.
