Background
Generally made from thinly sliced meat that is salted and dried at low temperatures, jerky is a very popular snack throughout the world. Venison is the name given to meat of any hunted animal, usually referring to deer. Of all the ways to consume venison, jerky is one of them, with its flavor similar to beef but with a richer and gamey taste.
Found in some grocery stores or the backpacks of big game hunters.
