Rural farmland.
Background[]
Feeding the world are farms, which grow crops and raise animals used for human consumption. Generally located outside major population centers, farms range from being simple, family-owned plots of land to sprawling industrial complexes filled with machinery and GMOs. The arrival of the zombie outbreak resulted in many farms being abandoned as their employees and inhabitants emigrated towards the cities, creating a food crisis in the process. Desperate survivors who held out in rural areas or wandered out of urban centers can often be seen picking through the fields, looking for any unharvested crops to eat.
Possible finds[]
- Food and water are a very common find.
- Wood, metal and cloth are also common here.
- Junk that can be recycled into components is also found.
- Weapons and ammunition is rare.
Level calculation[]
The level of a Farm is always one level higher than the area it is in.
Tactics[]
Farms are large, open maps with a high zombie spawn rate. Despite the open space, do not be fooled by the crops as they block survivor view and act as a maze where containers, in the form of lootable corpses, are located. A small room, from which zombies come out, will be located close to the crops. The rest of the containers are located close to the farmhouse itself and the adjacent buildings. Assault rifles, Shotguns and/or Light machine guns are a good choice. Keep survivors together when entering the fields.
