Background[]
Gardens tend to extend beyond the range of any ordinary water spigot attached to an immobile building. Because of this, gardening hoses were invented to carry the water from tap to plant. A hose, at its basics, is any flexible tube that can transport water. Gardening hoses are typically lighter and cheaper than industrial hoses and are made out of synthetic rubber or plastic. The hose connects to the spigot on one end and water sprays out of the other. The latter is often used with a sprayer pistol, which allows the user to control the water flow more easily, or with a sprinkler, which waters the surrounding vegetation with a light fountain.
Sold in the gardening section of hardware stores and found coiled up like a snake near the water spigot in gardens.
