The Hunter Compact is a rifle featured in The Last Stand: Union City and The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

BackgroundEdit

A classic sporting rifle with a following that has lasted many decades, which has been used for everything from marksmanship competitions to small-game hunting. It is a comfortable gun for shooters of all levels, thanks to its small cartridge and simple operation.

Available in any North American gun stores.

The Last Stand: Union CityEdit

This rifle makes the player's cache of 5.56mm ammo one of their deadliest assets. While rather accurate and powerful, its slow RoF and small magazine make it a poor choice at close range or against fast-moving zombie hordes.

How to ObtainEdit

A Scoped version can be found in the Union Security gun cage. (Newtown)
A Normal version can be found in a footlocker on the roof of Whistler Hotel. (Uptown)
Hank starts with a Normal version if he is your first companion.

The Last Stand: Dead ZoneEdit

Powerful, long-ranged and accurate, this is a lethally efficient weapon, well suited to eliminating zombies at a distance. However, it is nowhere near as effective at close range, due to a slow attack speed and a small magazine. Best used alongside teammates equipped for close-quarters.

How to ObtainEdit

It can be scavenged during Level 5+ missions.
Level 5 Scoped variants can be purchased for 100 at The Store.
Level 8 Quiet Scoped variants can be crafted using a Hunter Compact, 14 Machined Parts, 2 Lenses, a Pipe and 10 Rivets at a Level 2+ Weapons Bench for 10 after scavenging the required schematic.
Level 11 High Capacity Scoped variant can be crafted using a Hunter Compact, 35 Machined Parts, 2 Lenses, 2 Pipes, 10 Rivets, 5 Bolts and a Magazine Case at a Level 3+ Weapons Bench for 19 after scavenging the required schematic. Also requires a Level 11+ Engineer.
