The Katana is a bladed weapon featured in The Last Stand: Union City and The Last Stand: Dead Zone.

BackgroundEdit

One of the signature weapons of the Japanese samurai is a sword whose iconic status has earned its place in popular culture, often displayed prominently in the home of your average medieval weapons enthusiast. Though most tend to be cheaply made replicas, genuine examples do exist but are generally closely guarded.

Real or fake, they can be found in the hands of seasoned martial artists or discerning collectors.

TacticsEdit

The Last Stand: Union CityEdit

One of the best melee weapons in the game, it deals incredible amounts of damage for its weight. Melee-centric players able to find one of these swords should keep it at all costs. Even non melee-centric players should keep a Sharpened katana should they find it, as it's the deadliest melee weapon in the game, dealing more damage than any other melee weapon.

How to ObtainEdit

A Normal version can be bought at the King-o-Pawn in Uptown. Prices are dependent on the Smarts skill.
A high Luck and decent Searching skill will assist in finding one, in containers or through lucky drops from zombies.

The Last Stand: Dead ZoneEdit

An efficient weapon, the Katana deals an impressive amount of damage per strike which, when coupled with a decent attack speed, allow it to easily dispose of any enemies. Its short reach, however, can endanger its wielder, especially if they get swarmed.
