This is a timeline of the development for The Last Stand: Union City.
October 11, 2009- Update asks the players what they would do if they found themselves in a zombie apocalypse, which served as research for the next The Last Stand game.
October 25, 2009- The Last Stand: Union City is announced and is set to be released in Q1 2010. Features of the game are also revealed.
November 1, 2009- Q&A released.
November 9, 2009- Character features revealed.
December 1, 2009- Early alpha (the first alpha) of the game released.
December 10, 2009- Character creation prototype released.
January 18, 2010- Alpha 0.5 released.
January 24, 2010- Union City Fact Sheet released.
February 8, 2010- Alpha 0.6 released; features new Backpack inventory system.
February 13, 2010- Second Q&A released.
February 23, 2010- Poll to pick assault rifles to be featured in the game.
March 3, 2010- Game release date delayed until late April.
March 4, 2010- Alpha 0.7 released.
April 11–29, 2010- Con holds contest to create fake ads for the game.
May 1, 2010- Winners for the fake advertisement contest announced.
May 9, 2010- Game release delayed until unknown date. Alpha 0.75 released; features new clothing system. Several fake ads are also released.
May 22, 2010- Alpha 0.8 released; features new character creator sheet.
June 3, 2010- Poll for SMGs to be used in the game held.
June 10, 2010- Alpha 0.85 released; features ability to move in and out of buildings.
June 29, 2010- SMG Poll results released.
July 2, 2010- Alpha 0.9 released; features character appearance creator.
July 13, 2010- Alpha 0.91 released; features zombies dropping items.
July 22, 2010- Alpha 0.92 released.
August 12, 2010- Alpha 0.94 released.
August 17, 2010- Union City map revealed.
August 27, 2010- Alpha 0.95 released.
September 19, 2010- Update reveals other features of the game.
September 28, 2010- Alpha 0.96 released; features Union City map navigator.
October 25, 2010- Alpha 0.97 released.
November 1, 2010- Update; includes new quest feature. Players suggest ideas for quests.
November 18, 2010- Update on the game features. Third Q&A held until November 23.
November 23, 2010- Update on character creation.
December 8, 2010- Alpha 0.99, the final alpha of the game released.
December 23, 2010- Start of beta application.
January 7, 2011- Beta invitations begin. Includes information on the beta.
January 13, 2011- First Beta information.
January 30, 2011- Second Beta information.
February 17, 2011- Contest on game hints started. Third Beta information.
March 17, 2011- Fourth Beta information.
April 11, 2011- Fifth Beta information.
April 13–22, 2011- Contest for notes to be featured in the game. Winning entries will be awarded with early beta access.
April 26, 2011- Winners for the note contest announced.
April 30, 2011- Achievement list revealed.
May 7, 2011- Beta is shut down due to a wiki contributor leaking the beta URL in the wiki.
May 13, 2011- Shop system 'King O Pawn' revealed.
May 25, 2011- Sixth Beta information.
June 14, 2011- Update on progress and changes in the Open Beta revealed.
June 30, 2011- First Open Beta released. Survival Kit premium content revealed.
July 5, 2011- Con reveals that the closing animation is complete.
July 17, 2011- Con announced that The Last Stand: Union City will be released within the next 7 days.
July 19, 2011- Con announced that The Last Stand: Union City will be released on July 20, 2011.
July 20, 2011- The Last Stand: Union City was released on Armor Games. You can play it here.
July 25, 2011- The Last Stand: Union City - v1.2 was released.
August 11, 2011- The Last Stand: Union City – v1.3 was released.
September 25, 2011- The Last Stand: Union City was released on Kongregate. You can play it here.
