Tasks are a feature available in The Last Stand: Dead Zone. They provide storyline (not yet implemented) and optional objectives for the player to accomplish, and rewards them with XP and occasionally items upon completion. The rewards are not automatically given, instead, the player must collect them from the Objectives menu.

Survivor Requests are time limited requests from your survivors which can heavily affect your compound's Morale. Failure to complete these requests may inflict a penalty. All survivor requests have variable requirements, penalties and rewards, dependent on both the Leader's level and random chance. Requests can be declined to avoid the penalty.
