A powerful smelling cleaning agent.
Also known as turps, wood turpentine or oil of turpentine is a fluid obtained from the distillation of resin from live trees, primarily pines. Used in the past as a miraculous medicine, nowadays it is used as a solvent and as additive in some cleaning products due to its antiseptic properties and "fresh, pine scent". Caution must be taken as its vapors can cause damage to eyes, lungs, and skin; the liquid is also flammable and can enter the body through the skin.
Sold in certain hardware stores.
